Maintenance Repairman – Sparta Housing Authority
The Sparta Housing Authority is seeking an experienced apartment repairman.

- Generally, a knowledge of the occupational hazards, safety requirements in the performance of maintenance, rehabilitation, and landscape work
- Knowledge of standard tools (manual and power) and the operation and maintenance of light or medium maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for prolonged periods and in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to work with a crew of laborers in manual and semi-skilled tasks
- A working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing a plus
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to work in a flexible environment with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to work in collaboration with diverse community residents
- Is available for standby duty during non-work hours and/or weekends
- Must respect the privacy and confidentiality of residents
