The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency seek a highly motivated and qualified individual who welcomes challenges to be its Director of Housing.   The Director of Housing leads the property management operations and the administration of a diverse portfolio of 6,300 units across 23 multifamily housing properties, with 230 employees.

This position requires a Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related area plus eight (8) years of advanced experience administrating programs of affordable housing, mixed-income or other federal or private property management; or a combination of education and work experience that meets the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position.

The desired candidate must know the principles and practices of Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA), Mixed-Income, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), HOME and Market-rate housing, and extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing housing and rental operations. The candidate must know accounting, budgeting, and procurement policies and procedures; possesses excellent management, leadership, and interpersonal skills to build high performing work teams; solid analytical skills applicable to business and fiscal data, ability to strategically plan and develop programs and services for all types of rental markets and customers.
