Executive Director - Fayetteville Housing Authority
The Fayetteville Housing Authority (FHA) is seeking an Executive Director who will be responsible for overall management and coordination of the agency’s programs and activities including 276 Conventional Public Housing Units, 132 Private Housing Units and a staff 8 employees with a current annual operating budget of 2.3 million. The selected individual will also be responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic planning effort aimed at the re-development of existing public housing sites and the development of new affordable housing opportunities in the City of Fayetteville, Tennessee. The Director is responsible to a five-member Board of Commissioners. Candidates must have progressively responsible leadership experience and a proven record of success in public housing management. Candidates with experience in public housing redevelopment projects, including a working knowledge of financial mechanisms used to fund these projects are preferred. Qualified candidates must demonstrate strategic leadership and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with vision and integrity who can work with outside entities to develop consensus goals and direct resources and implement programs to achieve the goals. The candidate must have a positive management style, excellent communications skills, ability to develop positive relationships with public officials, Board of Commissioners, staff, residents, and the public. Must possess strong administrative, management, organizational, and leadership skills. Job duties include: preparing budgets, reports and grant applications, public relations, personnel management, and planning. Must be bondable. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, urban planning, or closely related field; Master’s degree preferred. The starting salary is in the range of $75K to $120K depending on qualifications and experience.
